The magic of film, music and a combination of both have always
stirred a fascination for me from an early age. A continuing
creative passion in life for these topics can now be realized
with the advances in modern technology for film making and music
compositions.
This project page will be the central hub of my artistic audio/visual
ideas, my inspirations and future projects. I hope

Furiosa - Mad Max: The Road Warrior
An alternative perspective on the Mad Max Road Warrior film.
Incorporating a much slower and artistic intro sequence with an
almost operatic projection. A highly detailed 1/18 scale V8
interceptor model was used in later action sequences to add
further intrigue to this exciting film.

Haunting
Tales - Original Music by Jamie Cogan
Inspired by the mini series Salem's Lot which is based on the
novel by Stephen king. Haunting Tales concentrates on Ben Mears
encounter with the paranormal. As a child he participates in a
dare to venture into the dreaded Marsden house and inside
witnesses many macabre spirits. My original composition inspired
by Ben's story adds new ambiance and fuels exciting
possibilities of a spin-off story based on his encounters.

The Dimension of Perpetually Floating Hearts Within
Majestic Musical Encapsulations In this beautiful alternate dimension of the grandest
musical rapture, radiant harmonics bathe and nurture the very
essence of life itself. It is these "key" moments of
musical harmony, which within human experience project a
floating sensation within the heart. Ensuing eternally in this
alternate dimension they engulf the cosmos with warmth and light
through music.

Imagination
Commissioned to film and edit a Star Wars showcase of
collectables, models and props for my brother was a joyus
project to undertake. I heavily employed the glide rail
technique to attain a grand and majestic feel as does the
imagination involved in the fantastic design aspect of Star Wars
so rightfully deserve. Yoda's theme, used in this sequence,
encapsulates the entire essence of the Star Wars films. Magic,
hope, uncertainty and love are all present within it's
structure. All powerful elements to capture the heart, and also
relating to imagination quoted by the great Einstein as being
more important than knowledge itself.

The waters around the island of Amity are once again serene
and tranquil. Past events of extreme terror are now buried deep
in the town's subconscious. Yet, for one man the ongoing mental
torment of these past events has left a deep psychological scar.
For Chief Brody, an inescapable feeling that the nightmare will
resurface once again takes him on a dark journey... forever
watching, waiting... he is know by the inhabitants of Amity
as... Sentinel.
This short trailer-type film concentrates on interesting
projections from the subconscious, in contrast to the action
sequences seen in the previous Jaws films. Making use of the
original soundtrack and dialogue segments, Sentinel approaches
this particular genre with new light and direction.

Escape
The vast Nostromo spaceship and it's crew land on LV426. A
strange planet filled with hostile weather conditions and eerie
landscapes. Escaping this terrible place is only the beginning
of their Alien nightmare. Filmed using a highly detailed model
of the Nostromo and Alien planet surface with additional fog and
sound effects, this re-creation encapsulates the atmosphere of
the eerie planet LV426.

Space... The Final Frontier
Exploring strange new Worlds...the Starship Enterprise
gracefully embarks on another mission. Within these scenes I
have emulated the essence of "Star Trek - The Motion
Picture" in which Kirk sees the re-fitted Enterprise for
the very first time. This is a very soulful and touching moment,
as if being re-united a good old friend. This video features a
highly detailed 34" model of the Enterprise and utilizes
the glide track technique to achieve a sense of movement from
the model.

Thirwall Castle, Northumberland UK. His mission: document all
aspects of this eerie location including film recording and
sound analysis. Many Echoes from the past lie in this ancient

10.31 (Version 2) The intent with version 2 of 10.31 was to create a
deeper sense of atmospheric tension. By adding an alternative
music score with an overall darker and sinister sound, and
further subtly blended imagery, the film's overall feeling of
tension is increased. 10.31 Halloween, bringing forth to the
minds eye images of the macabre, monsters, demons and dark
shadows. Within this nightmare, we are running from the
darkness, the terror and the unknown, until we find the strength

Capturing Arthur's Kingdom
Legend suggests that in the cavernous castle vaults below the
site of Sewingshield Castle, still hidden beneath the hills of
Northumberland, lies King Arthur, Queen Guinevere and his band
of warrior knights. They sleep soundly until the British Nation
calls upon their help. Beside them, on a table, sits a horn, a
sheathed sword and a garter. To awaken the great King, it is
said that one must draw the sword, cut the garter and blow the
horn.
Two men venture north beyond Hadrian's Wall to explore, study
and capture this fabled land. A strange atmosphere surrounds as
they meander deeper into the heart of Arthur's Kingdom.

Project Rendezvous
The second film I have been working on recently holds extra
special value for me as it is based around the UFO phenomenon
which I have always been hugely interested in. I have
titled this film "Project Rendezvous" which was
inspired by the film "Close Encounters Of The
Third Kind" starring Richard Dreyfuss. Filming at Devils
Tower in Wyoming USA was a magical and very memorable
experience. The majestic columns appear very alien-like in
comparison to their surroundings.
The concept of Project Rendezvous was to edit my footage in such a way that it
gives the appearance of a top secret information
film that the government had stored away after the great meeting
between humans and aliens. Grain was added in the
editing to enhance a some what vintage projection which works very well.

Wings of the West
Two ideas for short films that I have been working on recently
have been inspired by classic motion pictures. The first film I
have titled "Wings Of The West" was inspired by the
motion picture "Mother Lode" starring Charlton Heston
and Kim Basinger. My short film was recorded at the same
location in Vancouver's Coal Harbor in which the small single
engine aircraft can be seen leaving the Harbor and gracefully
flying over the Lions Gate bridge in search of the Stick Iron
river.

Land Of Legends
Living within a short distance from Hadrian's wall there are
many places to conjure inspiration along this magnificent
structure in Northumberland's Tyne valley. It is indeed a land
steeped with history and legends. With inspiration from the 2004
film "King Arthur" and it's wonderful soundtrack by Hans
Zimmer I felt compelled to put a small film together to show the
grandeur of Hadrian's wall with an accompanying soundtrack of
equal magnificence. The result is a powerful blend of audio and
visuals which I have titled "Land Of Legends".
